The changing nature of records management

The records management landscape is changing.   I forsee a move towards Information Governance in the near future as an overarching discipline.  Will records management per se disappear?  I don't believe so, nor do I think it should.  What I envisage is a framework and structures appearing to manage all information in all formats, regardless of whether it is structured, unstructured, paper, electronic or any rich multi-media format.   I will discuss many of these issues under Information Governance, but keep an eye out for my discussion on the changing nature of the records manager, and the new skills this is going to require.
